Casas Outreach recently joined forces with the Serve Our City weekend Bikes for Change initiative, sponsored by Tour de Tucson and other community organizations. The goal of the event was to build and distribute 3,000 bikes to underserved children of families facing hardship in the Tucson area.
Casas Outreach had the opportunity to serve as one of the build and pick-up locations. Volunteers from Casas Outreach worked to build and distribute 119 bikes for children in the Flowing Wells district.
Overall, the Bikes for Change initiative was a resounding success, and Casas Outreach is grateful to have been a part of it. We are excited about future opportunities to serve our community and make a positive impact on the lives of many children and families in the Tucson area.
