Travis has been part of the Casas family since 1988. He became an Elder in 2006 and now serves as the Adult Communities Director, where he helps people take their next step into community through Sunday morning groups, small groups, and connection events. For Travis, Casas isn’t just where he goes to church – it’s home. It’s where people can ask real questions, grow in their faith, and walk through life together.
Outside of ministry, Travis has worn many hats: former scuba instructor (yes, he’s even dived with sharks), basketball announcer at Canyon Del Oro High School, and founding board member of the Oro Valley Basketball Academy. These days, he’s more likely to be found on a mountain bike trail or a pickleball court.
Travis and his wife, Heidi, have been married for over 28 years and are proud parents of two young adult kids. Around Casas, he’s long been known as “Captain Enthusiasm,” a nickname earned through years of helping people feel known, welcomed, and connected. Each week, you’ll find him at Next Steps after every service, ready for a conversation and to help you find your place at Casas.
