About this Event

Over Rodeo Break, February 22nd – 25th 2024, we are taking a group of high school students to Rocky Point, Mexico to build homes for families in need. We partner with a community development organization called 1Mission which has served the community for more than 15 years. This is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, and serve people in a nearby community. Our students get to personally witness the impact of loving others with selfless love and living out our value of acceptance all while building homes for multiple families experiencing poverty.

If a student is in 6th grade, we require that a parent or legal guardian attend the trip with them. Our 7th and 8th-grade students are welcome to invite a parent to come with them as well. Our hope is that families get to serve alongside each other, pray for each other, and create meaningful memories of God’s greatness.

This year we are requiring that everyone on the trip needs a passport or a passport card. It takes time to complete the passport process and more time to receive the documentation in the mail. For that reason, please prioritize getting a passport or passport card ASAP.

The cost of this trip is $500 which includes transportation, accommodations, food, and all building supplies for each family home we participate in building. Every donation is tax-deductible and any amount a student fundraises over their goal amount goes into a communal account to help ensure each student is able to attend this very important, amazing mission trip.

See a sample fundraising letter HERE. Please note that this letter can be edited for a text message, email, or social media post as well. It also invites patrons, family, and friends to pray for your experience before, during, and after we go to Rocky Point.

When you complete your trip registration HERE, you’ll be given a unique link to attach to your fundraising requests that your contacts can use to give directly to your trip.

This is an incredible opportunity for our students to partner with all God is doing in Mexico, in their lives, and in the lives of the other students around them. We don’t want anyone interested in coming with us to miss out so please don’t hesitate to ask any and all questions to ryanw@casaschurch.org or stefanik@casaschurch.org.
