Starting Point

Starting Point is a two-part class, where you’ll discover what makes Casas a different kind of church. During the class, you will gain a clear view of our mission, values, and simple pathways for getting connected, and meet some great people taking the same steps as you – no pressure, just invitation. Whether you’re new to faith, new to Casas, or just looking for direction, this is the perfect place to start.

Join us for Part One on Sunday, September 6th, and Part Two on September 13th, from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. We will meet in Cholla 103. Let us know you’ll be joining us!

Rethinking Scripture

For centuries, people have wrestled with how to read and understand the Bible. Too often, Scripture has been approached only as a set of rules or moral codes to follow, rather than as God’s unfolding story of love and redemption. At Casas, we believe the Bible comes alive when read through a Christ-centered lens, rooted in our understanding of Genesis 1–3. This class will guide us in exploring the context, language, history, and inspiration of Scripture so we can see how every part of God’s Word points us to Jesus and invites us into a loving relationship with Him.

The next class begins on Wednesday, August 5th, and concludes on September 9th. This will be a six-week class, hosted in Coffee Spot in the Auditorium from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Together, we’ll explore our identity as those who are beloved by God, experience the strength that comes from belonging to a community and being loved by others, and discover how to live that love out in the world around us.
